Special guest Rep. Ritchie Torres (NY-15) will join us to provide an update on his work in Congress to support RCV and discuss New York City’s upcoming implementation of RCV. Former Utah state legislators Marc Roberts and Rebecca Chavez-Houck and Taylor Morgan of Utah RCV will provide an update on Utah’s remarkable progress. FairVote staff will celebrate this progress and share what to expect for the rest of 2021.

Our guests and FairVote staff will provide the “inside scoop” on the immense progress ranked choice voting (RCV) is making in 2021 and where we go from here. The U.S. House passed legislation that would boost ranked choice voting in two ways, and Utah alone has more than doubled the number of cities with mayors elected by RCV, with more than 20 cities deciding to use RCV this November. New York City will use RCV in all its big primary elections on June 22, including mayor, and Virginia Republicans used RCV to nominate their candidate for governor. 



There is a lot to learn from these successes and more to come. We look forward to you joining us virtually this Tuesday.
