Once again, Mitch McConnell is making his priorities perfectly clear. 

McConnell admitted he is more interested in stonewalling President Biden’s agenda than getting things done for the American people -- just when our country is at a pivotal moment as we make our way out of the pandemic.

McConnell’s comments might sound familiar. That's because this is hardly the first time he’s made no secret of his obstruction.

When President Obama was in the White House, McConnell said, “The single most important thing [Washington Republicans] want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

And when McConnell ran the Senate, he was laser-focused on:

• Taking away millions of Americans’ health care
• Giving tax breaks to corporations and the richest in the country
• Moving heaven and earth to fill a Supreme Court vacancy before Americans even had a chance to make their voices heard in the election and filling the courts with hundreds of Trump appointees
• Ignoring the well-being of workers all over the country by letting enhanced $600-a-week unemployment insurance expire
• Refusing to take action on critical COVID-19 relief for months on end

McConnell’s focus has always been on partisan politics and catering to the special interests that keep him in power.

The Biden Administration and Democrats are focused on getting our country out of the pandemic, getting people safely back to work and school, and building back our economy so it works for everyone -- not just the top 1%.
