It?s more convenient than ever to shop and dine downtown Oswego, thanks to the new parking deck now open in the first two floors of The Reserve at Hudson Crossing.?
The Village of Oswego announced Wednesday that it had officially taken ownership of the downtown parking garage, which has entrances on Harrison and Adams Street in the heart of downtown Oswego, and opened it to the public. Parking in the deck is free and open from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.?
To park, simply pull up to the door. If the door is closed, such as during inclement weather, it will open on approach.?Learn more.

The Middle East Conflicts Wall of Honor will be in Oswego from Friday, May 21, through Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. The honored visit, sponsored by the Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast Club and the Village of Oswego, pays tribute to the veterans of Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Iraq and Afghanistan.?
The wall will be set up at Oswego Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill, Oswego, and will be open to the public free of charge 24 hours a day. This will be the first time the wall has traveled outside of its home state of Oregon.?The wall will be escorted to town by the Marine Vets Motorcycle Club, as well as by area police, fire, and other agencies on May 21. An opening ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, and a closing ceremony is planned for 3 p.m. on Monday, May 31. A car show, performances and other festivities are taking place throughout the 11 days of the Oswego Honors Veterans event for the entire community. Bring your own lawn chairs. The Oswego Community Yard Sale will be held Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it?s a great opportunity to clean out basements and attics in an eco-friendly way by reusing and recycling unused items.?
The cost to participate is $7 plus applicable online fees to help cover the cost of advertising the sale. Those who register will get their sales advertised on the Village of Oswego?s website, on the Village?s social media pages, and in a full-page ad in the Oswego Ledger on Thursday, June 3. The Village of Oswego Police Department is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Community Service Officer. The Village of Oswego offers a starting salary of $17.65 per hour for this position. CSOs perform non-criminal assignments such as completing police reports, enforcing Village ordinances, and directing traffic. This position will issue parking citations, answer questions regarding village ordinances and complete reports as needed. CSO?s will also assist police officers in patrolling festival grounds at large community events, helping with crowd control, traffic, parking, etc. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on May 28.
