Friend,

It's been an honor to serve on Evergreen's advisory board since it launched one year ago (tomorrow!). One year in, the way the team works with me, my organization (Data for Progress), and the wider climate movement has shown me that Evergreen is going to be a powerful force for change for years to come.

One recent and compelling example: In February, Evergreen and Data for Progress released a detailed policy plan outlining how to pass a 100% Clean Electricity Standard through a 50/50 Senate. By the end of March, that plan became the backbone of President Biden's American Jobs Plan, now making its way through Congress.

When Evergreen wants to get to work on something, they mean it. And these victories don't happen just because we hope for them. We organize together, get our ideas in the press, and exert pressure on the right people.

Evergreen plays a crucial role in this work: They're showing elected leaders exactly how to turn a bold climate vision into a legislative reality. Will you donate to Evergreen's Anniversary Fund right now to keep the demand (and the plans) for bold climate action sounding on Capitol Hill?

In their second year, Evergreen is going to be focused on getting the many climate policies endorsed by the Biden administration through the Senate. The Clean Electricity Standard is a big one, as is the creation of a Civilian Climate Corps—an idea that originated with the Inslee presidential campaign (and is endorsed by the Sunrise Movement). If passed, it will prepare millions of people for good-paying careers and jumpstart a clean energy economy.

In its first year, Evergreen wrote and advocated for strong policies like a 100% Clean Electricity Standard and a Civilian Climate Corps because of people like you who sustained their work and allowed Evergreen to punch above their weight.

Celebrate a year of climate progress and contribute to the next one: Donate before midnight tomorrow to Evergreen's Anniversary Fund.
