Boot Texas Republicans PAC is proud to endorse Deborah Peoples for Mayor of Fort Worth! She’s in a runoff against a big money Republican, and together we’re going to raise money, talk to voters, and get out the vote to make her the next mayor.
Before we ask you to chip in to her campaign, I want to tell you why we’re so excited to make Peoples our first ever endorsement.
First, Democrats across the state are already coming together to support her campaign. With our combined power, we can WIN.
She’s been endorsed by Congressman Marc Veasey, Congressman Beto O’Rourke, and Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.
She also has the support of the Texas Working Families Party, the Tarrant County AFL-CIO, and Grassroots Law Project.
Second, Fort Worth could be a bellweather city that sends a message about the future of Texas politics.
For DECADES, Republicans have run Ft. Worth and Tarrant County, but things are starting to change. Races are becoming closer and closer, as more Texans wake up to the damage of years of Republican mismanagement. Ft. Worth is one of the fastest growing cities in the state, and change is on the horizon.
If we can help Peoples into the Mayor's office, it will send a big message that more change is coming.
Most importantly, she’s running the way Democrats should: with a people-first agenda that can win.
Her priorities are increasing affordable housing in rapidly-growing Fort Worth, investing in infrastructure to handle that growth, and making sure there are job opportunities for everyone who needs one. She also wants to send trained crisis intervention specialists to 911 calls that police are not qualified to handle, reducing dangerous police-community incidents.
That’s the kind of mayor Ft. Worth needs, and it’s why we’ve made her our first EVER endorsement. But she’s up against a Republican who is flooding the election with money from the wealthy and well-connected, which means it’s up to us to have her back.
Deborah Peoples needs our help to become the next Mayor of Fort Worth. Her runoff is on June 5th - can you chip in $5 to her campaign now so she can talk to more voters, and fight back against the flood of money from her opponent?
