Over the last several months, over 404 voter suppression bills have been introduced in almost all 50 state legislatures. Just last week, we saw the Governor of Florida sign a bill that creates barriers to obtaining and casting mail ballots, limits access to ballot drop boxes, and restricts the ability of organizations to distribute water and food to anyone lined up at the polls and conduct community voter registration drives. On Tuesday, we saw the passage of an Arizona bill that could purge over 120,000 voters from the state’s vote by mail list -- meaning those voters will no longer be able to receive their mail ballots automatically.

This isn’t new -- in every month of 2021, we’ve seen bills like this get introduced and passed across the country. And if you’ve been keeping up with our work at When We All Vote, you’ve seen our attempts to help educate voters and encourage them to take action with us in order to safe-keep our democracy.
