What would it look like to build a thriving future for all?

John,

What would it look like to build a thriving future for all?

During Women’s Health Week, we’re taking the time to outline the work ahead as we continue to fight for equitable access to health care and reproductive freedom for everyone. Reproductive freedom means a sense of safety for every person and a foundation of autonomy.

That’s why we must urge the U.S. Senate to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) immediately. ([link removed])

One in four people who identify as women in our country experience severe intimate partner violence. Since 1994, VAWA has supported essential life-saving programs combatting domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

VAWA was reauthorized with overwhelming bipartisan support in the years 2000, 2005, and 2013.

The Trump Administration allowed VAWA and its critical funding to lapse, leaving countless survivors without support while incidents of domestic abuse skyrocketed during the pandemic. Survivors need access to these services more than ever before. Add your name to demand the Senate reauthorize VAWA today. ([link removed])

This bill can once again provide funding for critical services to support survivors of domestic abuse and survivors and survivors of sexual violence with, funding for services like emergency shelters and counseling, and much more as they seek justice.

Reauthorization is critical. We urge you to add your name to show support. ([link removed])

Every elected office — from the school board to the Senate — has a role to play in protecting reproductive freedom, and it’s up to us to make sure our elected officials do the right thing and pass these critical policies.

In solidarity,
