Arctic Refuge Drilling Environmental Impact Statement Friend ? this could move quickly. The Trump administration has officially asserted that "there is not a climate crisis" in its environmental impact statement on drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

We're not aware of a more blatant example of climate change denial in an impact statement ? they're not even attempting a science-based evaluation of the plan.

We're reaching out now because this is an escalation in the behavior of an already environmentally irresponsible administration.

Once the impact statement is finalized, we have a short window to act. The Trump administration will continue its rush to drill and could begin issuing leases at any moment. But with the pro-environment House of Representatives having already passed legislation blocking drilling in the Arctic Refuge, we can stop things before it's too late.

We have a shot here but we need to move fast ? a donor has agreed to TRIPLE MATCH every contribution to this campaign ? please, make an emergency contribution today.

We can't let this stand. Please, make an emergency donation today. Even $5 is enough to make a difference ? [link removed]

The stakes here are huge. Drilling in the Arctic Refuge would destroy land that is sacred to the Gwich'in people and that they have replied on for millennia. And even as the impact statement completely ignores the effects of climate change, it admits that drilling "may result in extinction" for nearly six dozen species of birds.

Young leaders like Greta Thunberg are sparking marches and protests in cities all over the world to demand action on climate change. We can't let them down ? we owe it to future generations to stop Trump from destroying more of our natural treasures.

I promise, this is a fight we can win, but we need to resist in every way possible right now. That means pushing the Senate to take the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge off the table for drilling. It means organizing on the ground.

An emergency $5 donation right now helps on every front. [link removed] It powers our campaign to pressure companies. It funds our advocacy campaigns on Capitol Hill. It gets our teams on the ground in swing states that could decide these fights.

Bottom line ? we need your help, and right now, you can triple your impact for the environment. Even $5 is enough to help ? if everyone reading this right now gave $5, it would be HUGE. I'm hoping we'll hear from you today.

Donate to LCV today ? every contribution will be tripled ? [link removed]

There's a lot of work ahead of us, friend ? I'm glad you're with us.

Sincerely,
