John,

This week, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans came together to strengthen the For the People Actbut these same Senators still haven’t moved the bill forward to a vote. And if they don’t act, the most important anti-corruption law in a generation could get ignored.

Democracy can’t wait.

Congress needs to be reminded that there are real Americans everywhere whose lives are impacted by our corrupt political system. RepresentUs is collecting stories from our movement about how corruption affects Americans of all political stripes. Will you share your story to show Congress why democracy can't wait?

Why do you care about fixing corruption? Share your story.

RepresentUs members have sent tens of thousands of petition signatures, made hundreds of calls, and rallied in their state capitols to demand passage of the For the People Act. But personal stories are memorable. They stick with us, and motivate all of us to help people we care about.

When Senators go to work and think about what matters to their constituents, they need our personal stories in their minds. That's why we're asking you to share yours today.

We all have a story that brought us into this movement. If you've ever had to choose between feeding your kids or casting your ballot, if your loved one was taken by opioids, or if you lost your home because of an unregulated Wall Street, you have a story about our broken political system.

Whether you’re a parent concerned about the crippling burden of student debt or a young person worried about the changing climate, we all have a reason that democracy can’t wait.

Tell us how corruption impacts you and why fixing democracy can't wait. We’ll use stories from the movement to spread the word and send a loud and clear message to politicians that it's time to pass the For the People Act.

Thank you for sharing your story with us,

Jen
