Where Are They Now?
Khadeejah's Story
"I am Khadeejah Honesty, I spent my early 20's in a successful career in Fashion and Marketing. I got pregnant and had my daughter Zion at 23 weeks which left her dead for the first 13 minutes of her life, weighing a total of 1 lb 5oz, six months in the NICU, blood transfusions and a heart surgery. As a single mother and daily advocate for my daughter I had to walk away from my job to be with her everyday and lost everything! Soon after, I was diagnosed with post-partum depression and found myself homeless."
Leap of Faith
"More challenges followed—a year off to care for Zion, a stint at marketing firm LMO before it downsized and a gig at South Moon Under," Northern Virginia Magazine reports. "All the while, the concept of Sōultry was forming."
Where Soul-Care and Self-Care Collide
"Soultry is a slow made lifestyle brand that looks to inspire women and men to live a sustainable life in totality. We are where Soul-care and Self-care collide."
What's Next?
Khadeejah will be going live with us this summer to share where she is now, and where she is headed. For now, here's a sneak peek!
