Representative Liz Cheney and I have little in common as far as our policy positions go, but there’s a critical truth we both understand:

The election was not stolen. President Biden won fair and square — and Republicans’ continued denial of this fact is harming our democracy.

Yesterday, House Republicans voted Liz Cheney out as Chair of their Caucus for simply acknowledging reality. GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy has now done more to silence and condemn Liz Cheney for telling the truth than he ever did to hold Donald Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and others accountable for inciting the January 6th insurrection.

The civil war within the Republican Party is now complete. There can no longer be any doubt that the GOP is the party of Trump, white nationalism, and QAnon conspiracy theorists — a party led by sycophants subversive to the rule of law and hostile to democracy itself.

I will not compromise when it comes to protecting the sanctity of our elections and preventing Republicans from suppressing the right to vote, which is under assault in Black and brown communities across America.

With redistricting looming and a long campaign season ahead, I expect to face resistance from Republicans and even some Democrats on these principles — so I need your help to make sure my campaign is prepared for any challenge that comes our way.
