Happy Eid! Eid al-Fitr commemorates the end of the fasting month of Ramadan and is an occasion for special prayers, family visits, gift-giving and charity for many Muslim-Americans. While the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has made it harder for Muslims–especially those serving in the frontlines as essential workers–to celebrate one of the main tenets of their faith, we hope all those celebrating nevertheless found time for peaceful reflection during this past month. From all of us at the KDP, we would like to send our warm regards to all Kansans who are celebrating the end of Ramadan. Eid Mubarak!
