It's Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett. You might have seen me playing a lead role in the second impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump.

I proudly represent the U.S. Virgin Islands in Congress, becoming the first delegate to serve as an impeachment manager. This sent a clear message: that yes, representation does matter. All of our voices matter.

Thanks to the people of the Virgin Islands, I was able to be there to prosecute the case against Donald Trump and one of the worst actions to try and stop our American democracy.

I will never forget, I was standing there, the only Black woman in the Senate chamber, with everything on the line for our country and our democracy. I wasn’t scared or nervous because we had truth on our side. I was there to get justice for what had happened on January 6th.

And let me tell you, I am not done fighting yet!

I’m ready to take on systemic racism and stop climate change. I’m fighting to support communities that have been left behind and are hurting in this pandemic, children and families who now have tremendous insecurity, and small businesses that have been devastated by what the pandemic has wrought on our tourism industry. And we are going to finally win voting rights and full statehood for the Virgin Islands, D.C. and any territory ready for full inclusion in America. If you’re with me in this fight, can you chip in $25 today?
