Dear John
Many men and women across Africa do not have access to education or skills training to help them rise above the poverty line.
We’ve found that our sewing and other vocational programs really do make a difference to transform lives across Africa. Many students who were in the programs, go on to have succesfull small businesses and in turn teach others and give back to their communities. You might have read about Emmanuel from Ghana in our March Harambee, who joined our vocational program in 2010. By 2015 he had his own shop with industrial machines, employing staff and sustaining his business.
Another graduate of the AE sewing program, Winina Adam, provides for her family with her income from sewing and also gives back to the community by making clothes for children in orphanages.
Not only does vocational programs transform the lives of those in the program, but also their families and their communities.
Please pray for all of our students in sewing and other vocational programs. Pray for African Enterprise to identify those in need so that we can help, to train them to the best of our ability and to help them transform their lives.
We currently have sewing programs in Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa and Ghana. Pray that we will be able to start more vocational programs across Africa so that we can equip people with skills needed that can assist in improving their circumstances.
