Thanks to Citizens United, elections are getting more and more expensive. There’s something called “call time” where politicians are expected to spend hours a day calling wealthy donors and asking them for huge donations. All those calls take a lot of energy -- energy that needs to be spent on expanding economic opportunity for struggling and hard-working Americans.

I spend as much time as possible listening to you, and advocating on your behalf in Washington. Because that’s my job.

But, the reality is, I need support from this grassroots team to continue running a strong campaign. If you chip in $5 right now, I can skip “call time” and focus on these five critical issues instead:

1. Protecting voting rights
2. Building better infrastructure
3. Expanding health care
4. Strengthening access to economic opportunity
5. Restoring rural communities

Republican radicals like Mo Brooks depend on GOP mega-donors, while our people-powered movement is coming together to fight for progress.
