Did you see the enormous voter suppression bill signed into law by Florida governor Ron DeSantis last week?
Republicans in the Florida State Legislature know that Florida could start swinging blue any cycle, so they're acting fast to suppress voters of color. Their new law makes voting by mail even more difficult, and it adds unnecessary restrictions for ballot drop boxes. Voter ID and voter registration requirements have already made voting difficult, and this new bill could be the final straw for thousands of vulnerable voters.
John, we need federal voting rights legislation before it's too late. We have to pass the For the People Act.
