Today was a sad day for our democracy. Liz Cheney was punished by her fellow Republicans for acknowledging Biden won the election and refusing to lie about Trump’s role in instigating the attempted insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Then, Republican members of the House Oversight and Reform Committee perversely tried to frame the insurrectionists as the *victims* on that day. But Gerry wasn't having it.

He stood up to the GOP, called them out for their attempts to re-write history and asked tough questions of the former Trump officials who testified. 

The GOP's unconditional loyalty to Donald Trump demonstrates just how important it is that we beat Republicans here in Virginia and across the country in 2022.
