alarming step to control the Republican party. House Republicans
ousted Liz Cheney from her leadership role for simply stating the
truth: that President Biden won the election. Our democracy is in
danger when one of our major political parties refuses to accept the
results of democratic elections.

This morning’s vote only took 16
minutes. They had already made up their mind: anyone who put the
Constitution ahead of Trump’s interests must go. That’s a scary
mindset, and it reminds us of how much work there is still to do to
protect our democracy.
