While we rarely agree with Liz Cheney, we applaud her for defending the Constitution yesterday after coming under fire from the 147 insurrectionists. Her crime? Refusing to amplify The Big Lie. Because Cheney had the gall to recognize the democratic outcomes of the 2020 election, she was ousted from her leadership position as House GOP Conference chair. This is the new GOP: lies instead of truth and party over country enforced with loyalty oaths.

Republicans have made it clear: January 6th wasn’t an aberration, it’s their new way of doing business. Donate to our Congressional Defense fund and help us defend our democracy at the ballot box in 2022!

The Party of Reagan is now a party of cowards and stooges who have decided that the rule of law, our Constitution, and democracy itself are all just hurdles in the way of Trump’s return to power. They have forsaken their sacred oath to uphold the Constitution in favor of the new loyalty pledge of the GOP: Trump over all.

As you most likely already know, Elise Stefanik, one of Trump’s closest allies, is next in line for Cheney’s spot. Stefanik is one of the most vocal supporters of Trumps’ Big Lie. If Democrats lose control of their slim congressional majority, Stefanik will become one of the most powerful politicians in the country. As GOP Conference Chair she’ll have enough power to legislate lies into law.

We cannot allow the 147 insurrectionists to return to power under any circumstances. If we don’t vote them out of office in 2022, we may not have another chance. Donate to our Congressional Defense fund and let’s get our democracy back on track once and for all.
