Friend,
Day after day, we continue our fight for Black lives and to #StopAsianHate. If we want wide sweeping change we need an advocate in the Department of Justice who is an experienced civil rights advocate. That is exactly what we have in Kristen Clarke.
President Joe Biden has nominated Kristen Clarke for the Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice. If confirmed, she will be the first woman and the first Black woman to lead the DOJ's Civil Rights Division.
Kristen's leadership, drive, and experience are crucial for ensuring equality and equity in America. We launched an ad to put pressure on Senate leadership to #ConfirmClarke, and today, we're asking you to join us in our Day of Action to help Clarke cross the finish line:
Watch our ad that's calling on the Senate to #ConfirmClarke, then chip in to The Collective Education Fund to help us keep it on the air!
You can also call your senator at (202) 224-3121 and ask them to vote "yes" to confirm Kristen Clarke to lead the DOJ Civil Rights Division.
Clarke has committed her career to holding doors open for all people – doors that should have never been locked. Her priorities for the Civil Rights Division will help bring America one step closer to promoting justice for all, and she plans to fight for policing reform and voting rights.
Clarke stands for opportunity and a better America, friend. We need your help keeping the pressure on the Senate to #ConfirmClarke. Chip in what you can right now to make sure our ad stays on the air.
Onward,
