The Virginia GOP has done it again; they’ve nominated hard-right Trump-Republican Winsome Sears for Lt. Governor. We now officially know who I’ll be up against this November.

We’ve got to stop them.

Winsome Sears is the opposite of what Virginia stands for. She’s an anti-choice, gun-glorifying, Trump-loving conservative who champions the Big Lie about the 2020 presidential election. She ran on the message that she’ll be able to win over traditionally Democratic-voting Black Virginians.

If I’m the Democratic nominee, I can promise you that won’t happen.

I have widespread support from over 30 Black elected officials and dozens on dozens of Black community activists and advocates. I’ve been endorsed by Black faith leaders from across our Commonwealth, from Hampton Roads to Richmond to Northern Virginia. These are leaders who are deeply rooted in their communities and will work tirelessly to build a grassroots voter turnout operation that will bring us victory this November.
