Can I be honest with you for a second?

Over the past week or so, the attacks on Nina have really escalated. And now, our opponents are blatantly begging for Super PACs and dark money groups that can spend unlimited sums of money to ramp up the dishonest and misleading attacks on Nina as well.

This is what a corrupt system looks like, and it’s totally unacceptable.

Sadly, this isn’t surprising. We knew when we launched this campaign that attacks like this from dark money and corporate interests would be coming. But we made a bet that this grassroots movement would come through when we needed it — just like you have every time before. So we are once again asking:

Can you make your first contribution to our people-powered campaign TODAY? It’s going to take lots of $5, $10, and $20 dollar contributions to fight back against the deep-pocketed special interests lining up against us. [[link removed]]

It’s impossible to change a corrupt system when you take so much of its money. That’s why Nina is doing things differently and why we can trust her to fight for real campaign finance reform and to get Big Money out of politics altogether.

But the truth is, these attacks aren’t going away any time soon. Our opponents know their only shot to win is by dragging Nina — and our entire grassroots movement — through the mud.
