I know what debate nights are like, friend.
In just a few hours, Justin Trudeau will take the stage for tonight’s Leaders’ Debate in Ottawa.
It’s a chance to clearly demonstrate to Canadians who we’re fighting for, and I know that Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team are the only ones with a real plan to invest in our middle class, grow our economy, keep our communities safe, and protect a clean environment.
I’m also optimistic – not just about the debate tonight, but about how we’re moving forward together. Since 2015, Canadians have created more than one million new jobs, the unemployment rate has fallen to a 40-year low, and more than 900,000 Canadians are no longer in poverty.

The 2019 Liberal platform includes important commitments like making housing and education more affordable for young people and families, eliminating all long-term boil-water advisories on reserve by 2021, and taking urgent action to fight climate change.
These are all vital steps to move Canada forward, and I know from experience just how much hard work will be needed in the crucial last two weeks of this campaign. That’s why I wanted to reach out today, friend.
