It never stops, John.
For years, Fox News has been using their platform to attack women, spread disinformation, and push their racist, divisive agenda. Women of color have always been Fox News’ favorite targets.
→ Fox News has attacked Congresswomen of color like AOC, Cori Bush, and Ilhan Omar tens of thousands of times, multiple days in a row for speaking out on issues including immigration, racism, and the minimum wage.
→ On live television, Tucker Carlson referred to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar as "living proof that the way we practice immigration has become dangerous to this country."
→ Recently, Congresswoman Cori Bush gave a speech about Black maternal health and the urgent need to protect Black birthing people and babies. In response, Fox News has been leading transphobic attacks against Cori and diminishing the urgency of the Black maternal health crisis in our country.
Let’s make this clear: Fox News knows exactly what they’re doing. They’re proud to be the TOP media group aiding Trump’s allies and supporting their white nationalist agenda. It’s critical we rise against their attacks and harmful misinformation — especially now before the next election cycle kicks in and Fox News backs their next Trump-like favorites.
All of these attacks from Fox News share the same catalyst: white supremacy.
Fox News has made it clear they’re not afraid to promote racist talking points and encourage white supremacists to lash out at women of color. From the January 6 attack on the Capitol, to the hate crimes against Asian women in Atlanta — we’re seeing a rise in white supremacist violence.
This is no coincidence: this is the product of the platforms that still lift up this messaging. That’s why one of the most powerful and effective ways we can rise against white supremacy and the disinformation crisis in our country is by holding accountable Fox News.
Together, this movement defeated Trump and we know that if we continue fighting we can also end Fox News’ divisive, anti-women agenda. Will you add your name to pressure Fox News’ top advertisers to stop financially supporting their media programs?
Keep fighting,
Women’s March
