The House GOP expelled Liz Cheney from leadership this morning because she continues to stand up to Donald Trump and his lies.

Jim Jordan dismissed Liz Cheney's defense of free and fair elections as "Democrat talking points"

To be clear: everything Liz Cheney has said is true. Trump provoked the attack on our Capitol by pushing the lie that the election was stolen and by encouraging people to come to Washington on January 6 and march to the Capitol.

They're purging Liz Cheney because she won't grovel to Trump and the Big Lie. The former president may be out of office, but he still has a secure hold on the Republican party.

Even though Liz Cheney is a proud Republican with conservative values, Jim Jordan and the rest of his party have no problem selling her out in a heartbeat because Trump told them to.

I don’t agree with Cheney on much, but I can respect that she stands up for what’s right and refuses to sell out to Trump.

We need folks in Congress who will put country over party and defend our democracy. That's not Jim Jordan.
