Friend,
This Friday officially marks one year of Evergreen.
One year ago, we launched with a single goal: an all-out government mobilization to defeat the climate crisis and create millions of good-paying jobs building a clean energy economy.
If that sounds ambitious, it's because it is. Bold ambition and urgently doing what's never been done before is what the climate crisis necessitates.
Looking back on the uncertainty of the past year, I am certain about one thing: We're closer to an all-out government mobilization on climate than we've ever been. It has been a tremendously productive year, in large part due to your unwavering support. But we're not anywhere near done yet, and we need to push harder in the coming year.
So right now, we're urging all Evergreen supporters to donate to our Anniversary Fund before end of day Friday—to celebrate the year we've had and to forcefully move forward in the year to come. Donate now to help Evergreen continue toward our primary goal: an all-out government mobilization to defeat the climate crisis.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I want to share some examples of how we got where we are today because I am really proud of this team and the wider climate community we're building alongside supporters like you.
In the past year, we've received over 170 press hits, driving national conversation toward an all-out government mobilization. We've released policy papers on the Clean Electricity Standard, a Civilian Climate Corps, Equity Mapping, and so much more—equaling nearly 300 pages of policy that have served as climate policy frameworks for the White House, Senate, and multiple federal agencies.
We've made such serious progress in a short time for a simple reason: because supporters like you gave us the financial fuel we needed to circulate bold, actionable climate policies in Washington, D.C. Whether you've been with us since Jay Inslee's presidential campaign or made your first donation just recently, you played a role in these victories.
But the next phase of our work—which involves getting our plans through the 50/50 Senate—will be the toughest yet.
We're counting on our loyal supporters—like you—to help us through this next year. Donate to our Anniversary Fund right now so we can make the government's mobilization on climate truly all-out.
Thanks for your support—last year, next year, and every year,
Jamal Raad
