<[link removed]>Immigrant Families need our help, take 60 seconds to ask Congress to expand healthcare programs to immigrants. <[link removed]>Friend,
Today, members of Congress took bold action in reintroducing the Health Equity and Access Under the Law (HEAL) for Immigrant Families Act. Introduced in the House of Representatives –by Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Nanette Barragán and in the U.S. Senate by Senator Cory Booker, HEAL works to ensure immigrants' access to health care coverage.
If passed, HEAL would remove political interference and restore coverage so that immigrants in the U.S. can participate in health care programs by <[link removed]>:
Restoring enrollment to full benefit Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to all federally authorized immigrants who are otherwise eligible. <[link removed]>
Removing the exclusion of undocumented immigrants from accessing health insurance coverage on the Affordable Care Act’s Health Insurance Exchanges. <[link removed]>
Ensuring access to public health insurance for DACA recipients. <[link removed]> <[link removed]>
<[link removed]>Contact your legislators and tell them to cosponsor HEAL! <[link removed]>
URGE is proud to support our federal champions, and the HEAL coalition, including our friends at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum and the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, in reintroducing HEAL.
Reproductive Justice cannot be achieved until young immigrants and their families have access to the coverage and health care they need to thrive. It’s time that Congress acts to support immigrant families' access to health care.
Contact your legislators and tell them to cosponsor HEAL! <[link removed]>
