Folks, I’m about to ask you to chip in toward our mid-quarter deadline, but first, I hope you will give me a chance to explain why this request is so important, especially today.

Our majority in the Senate is razor-thin. The chamber is split 50-50 and Vice President Kamala Harris is the tie-breaker, which means one vote can change everything.

It also means that losing just one seat will hand the majority right back over to Mitch McConnell and end any chance we have at making real progress for the American people — like expanding affordable health care, raising the minimum wage, protecting voting rights, and so much more.

But don’t just take it from me! Last week, McConnell said “100 percent” of his focus is on stopping the Biden administration.

McConnell and his network of shady megadonors are already gearing up to spend millions to defeat vulnerable Democrats, retake the Senate majority, and halt our progress — we can’t let them, folks.

That’s why it’s so important we build the resources to protect our vulnerable majority right now, and that means hitting every single one of our fundraising goals like our mid-quarter deadline this Friday. But I can’t do it without your help, so I’m respectfully asking:
