Economic Democracy Weekly

This week we focus on the role of leaders in the economy, both for good and ill. Economic structures are critical, but the choices leaders make also matter. Our lead story highlights decisions made by US corporate board members to prioritize CEO compensation over the welfare of their stakeholders in the middle of a pandemic. We also include a story on a coalition’s efforts to instill new leadership in rural electric co-ops and another on a cohort approach to develop BIPOC leaders in the food justice movement. Lastly, our upcoming economic justice webinar looks at how movement leaders balance project-based work with a transformative system-changing vision.
