When the country learned of the deaths of Breonna Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky, and George Floyd of Minneapolis, Minnesota, in early 2020, we gained more awareness of a broken system. The practice of “no-knock” warrants and law enforcement practices came under even more scrutiny than they already had been in previous years.

Attorney General Aaron Ford is taking definitive action here in Nevada on criminal justice.

He has authored two bills in the Nevada Legislature that will help reform the criminal justice system. The first will limit the use of “no-knock” warrants to cases involving felony charges that pose an imminent threat to public safety. The second will allow the Attorney General’s office to perform patterns and practice investigations on law enforcement agencies.

We need leaders in office like AG Ford, and sticking with the status quo isn’t good enough. Nevadan families don’t deserve an Attorney General who will sit on the sidelines when it comes to criminal justice reform and the systemic issues that stem from the inaction. That’s why right now is the best time to get involved.

The Nevada GOP and national PACs will push even harder this time to stop Aaron from winning his re-election. We need to go all out now. Will you send a donation to Aaron’s re-election campaign to have the best chance of winning?
