John,

In 2010, the Supreme Court made its Citizens United decision, which opened the floodgates to $1 billion in campaign contributions from the fossil fuel industry.

In 2020 alone, the industry spent over $200 million in an all-out attempt to influence the outcome of presidential election and House and Senate races.

We can’t fool ourselves — The fossil fuel industry tentacles have a tight grip on our political system, reaching deep into Congress and state legislatures. Industry lobbyists are trying to use the power of the purse and PACs to determine our environmental protections.

That's why SEEC PAC works to protect and elect pro-environment members of Congress. Will you join our fight against fossil fuel interests with a contribution today? [[link removed]]

While we may believe the fossil fuel industry is fighting a doomed rearguard action against the rising tide of sustainable energy solutions, the truth is that fossil fuel interests are doing all they can to stall the progress we should be making on climate change and renewable energy.

The fossil fuel industry thinks their hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions will overwhelm the small-dollar donations from people across the country who want clean energy solutions.

With every dollar they contribute to a member of Congress, the work to save our planet is set back.

We can’t let this continue.

John, our SEEC members are fighting for clean energy in Congress. That’s why they urgently need your help. Can you pitch in a donation today to show you’re standing with them? [[link removed]]
