John,
The Affordable Care Act became law more than 11 years ago. That landmark legislation made substantial progress for millions of Americans. But we can't stop there. The pandemic has reminded us all how critical an all-encompassing health care system really is.
We have an urgent health crisis in the United States—and we must expand upon the progress made more than a decade ago when President Obama signed the ACA into law.
Join our growing national coalition to demand Congress take historic steps to expand health care! Sign the petition today >>
President Biden made clear he wants to expand health care access and lower out-of-pocket costs. Together, we’re demanding Congress pass legislation to:
-
Lower the Medicare eligibility age to 55 years old;
-
Permanently expand the Obamacare health subsidies for middle class families in the American Rescue Plan which expire next year;
-
Extend health coverage for up to 4 million low-income families who are locked out of care in states that rejected Medicaid expansion;
-
Lower prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate directly with drug companies;
-
Improve Supplemental Security Income so people with disabilities are no longer forced to live below the poverty line.
We must think BIG about making real change in our health care system that will outlast the pandemic and protect all communities for generations to come.
Congress must take historic steps to expand health care. Add your name!
Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for the needs of the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
