Libraries are many things to many people, and one thing we've experienced over the last year is missing the amazing services, activities and events that libraries offer, not to mention the friendly and welcoming staff!
We are gradually making more things available and there are (at least) seven good reasons to visit your library since they re-opened.
Need to return those books you’ve had out since last year? Yes, that’s one of the seven...

A short while ago, in a library not so very far away…
Darth Vader paid a short visit to our very own Strelley Road Library!
Nottingham City Libraries are big fans of Star Wars and the extended universe and so saw fit to use Star Wars Day to celebrate the fantastic galaxy spanning world!
May 4th has come and gone, but you can still enjoy the video and find out more about the Star Wars books and graphic novels in our libraries.

We want your views!
Be part of the conversation as we review the library service and write The Next Chapter for Nottingham City Libraries.
What are we to you? Are we social hubs, a place for conversation and learning, community spaces, a place to inspire and be creative or something more?
With your help we want to reassess the services we offer and make sure they’re still the right ones for you both now and in the future.
As a BIG thank you, all responses will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a family ticket to “Titus: T-Rex is King” exhibition at Wollaton Hall this July!

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is nature. With that in mind we have pulled together some ideas that may boost your mood and improve your wellbeing.
- Bring mindfulness into your everyday life with our nature themed mindfulness session
- Explore a range of books recommended by health experts and on our shelves
- Soft sounds of ambience, whether it be gentle waves, chirping of birds or even just the wind blowing through the trees can help you relax. Head over to our page to listen to some of our favourite sounds of nature. We personally believe it makes for incredible background sounds for when you are reading too!
Interested in exploring racism, prejudice, diversity and black history in more detail?
Our new Spotlight collections offers a great starting point to learn more about equality and diversity and a great way for children to celebrate cultural diversity from a young age.
These new special collections are available at Radford-Lenton, Hyson Green, Bulwell Riverside and Southglade Park libraries or can be requested through click and collect to other libraries.
