Join the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters TODAY, Wednesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. CST for our webinar Issue 101 and our Path to Permanent Protection , featuring myself, Tom Landwehr, Organizer Levi Lexvold, and The Wilderness Society Senior Legal Director Alison Flint.

We’ll be discussing everything from the basics about the threat to the Boundary Waters to the significance of Monday’s news regarding the federal prospecting permits.

Tom Landwehr: Tom is the Executive Director of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, and previously worked as the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources commissioner under Governor Mark Dayton. He is an avid fisherman, hunter, and paddler.

Levi Lexvold: Levi is the Northeastern Regional Organizer and Manager of our northern headquarters in Ely, Minnesota. Levi studied Natural Resource Conservation at the University of Idaho and worked as a wilderness ranger and wilderness guide. He runs the Campaign’s national headquarters in Ely and outreach efforts in Northern Minnesota.
Alison Flint: Alison is the Senior Legal Director for the Campaign’s valued partner organization, The Wilderness Society (TWS). Before joining TWS in 2014, Alison litigated public lands issues on behalf of TWS and other conservation groups as an attorney with the Rocky Mountain Office of Earthjustice. As Senior Legal Director, Alison manages TWS’s high-profile litigation, including work to defend Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Wilderness from reckless energy development. Alison also focuses on protecting our national forests and bedrock conservation laws and policies.
