ue_051121&utm_agency=alpha Friend,
It’s National Police Week –
and this Saturday is National Peace Officers Memorial Day, established
in 1962 and celebrated every year since to recognize all the officers
who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty.
Today, I want to make
one thing absolutely clear: in Georgia, we will ALWAYS BACK THE BLUE!
I’ve had enough of the “Defund the Police” nonsense taking hold in
liberal strongholds and with the Democrats in Washington, D.C. This
year, I was proud to sign two important pro-police bills into law.
I
signed HB 534, which toughens penalties for criminal street racing and
laying drag. With street racing and other violent crime on the rise in
our capital city, I will not sit idly by, and we are empowering state
and local law enforcement to go after bad actors.
And last week, I
signed HB 286 as a direct response to the “Defund the Police” nonsense
that the left is pushing. This law prohibits officials from cutting
police budgets and stripping critical resources from our men and women
in law enforcement.
I’m sick and tired of the attacks against law
enforcement by those with a DERANGED political agenda that coddles
criminals and leads to more crime on our streets. Local law enforcement
put it all on the line to keep our communities safe, and we owe them
our full support.
Republican leadership here in the Peach State is
taking a stand. We unapologetically BACK THE BLUE!
Will you join us
in standing with law enforcement, Friend?
