My name is Allison Russo, and today I am launching my campaign to serve the people of Ohio’s 15th congressional district in Congress.

The folks I’ve talked to in this district want to make Ohio a place we’re all proud to call home. We all want the opportunity to earn a decent living, send our kids to good schools, afford the health care we need, and retire with security. We want the next generation to have the opportunities they'll need to put down roots and raise a family of their own here in Ohio someday.

2020 took the wind out of us, but people who work for a living — nurses and doctors, delivery and food workers, teachers and first responders, small business owners and their employees — kept our communities together. Now Ohio politicians need to have their back. We can’t let our recovery be rigged to favor Wall Street while the rest of us on main street are left behind.

Ohio needs an economy that values the middle class, not just the rich and powerful. It’s about moving forward. We need to invest in jobs that can’t be outsourced, like clean energy and advanced manufacturing. And we need to look out for each other by providing paid leave and affordable child care. That’s why I’m running for Congress — I will work for you and an economy that works for all of us.

As a State Representative in the Ohio General Assembly, I've been a strong advocate for economic strategies that sustain working families, affordable and accessible healthcare, quality early childhood education and care, and strong public education. Recently, I introduced legislation aimed at stamping out corruption running rampant in Ohio.

I've spent over two decades advising leaders and federal policymakers on how to better provide efficient and affordable healthcare to seniors, veterans, and military families. As a former military spouse, I am deeply committed to public service and Ohio’s 15th congressional district, volunteering my time to many local organizations serving our community and youth.
