Join us for a series of debates on LGBTQI2S issues ahead of the federal election For the first time ever in Canadian history, a consortium of national and regional LGBTQ2 organizations have come together to hold a series of pre-election town hall debates on LGBTQ2 issues in Canada. The town halls are following a pre-election statement released last week signed by 216 LGBTQ2 organizations from across Canada calling on all major Canadian political parties to protect and actively support the rights of LGBTQ2 people. TOWN HALLS ACROSS CANADA: Tuesday, October 8 Toronto – 6:30pm at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, 12 Alexander Street Vancouver – 6:30pm at The Junction, 1138 David Street Edmonton – 7:00pm at Evolution Wonderlounge, 10220 103 St NW Wednesday, October 9 Ottawa – 7:00pm at Jack Purcell Community Centre, 320 Jack Purcell Community Centre Tuesday, October 15 Montreal – 7:30pm at John Molson School of Business, Concordia, 1450 Guy St. Representatives from all major parties have been confirmed to attend the debates, including the Conservative Party of Canada, Green Party of Canada, Liberal Party of Canada, and New Democratic Party of Canada. The Bloc Québécois has been confirmed for the debate in Montreal.
