John,
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is pressuring the White House to weaken its plan to tax corporations and the wealthiest Americans.
The DCCC is the wing of the Democratic establishment that raises bundles from corporate PACs and Wall Street CEOs — and tries to protect the status quo in this country. The Washington Post reports that “Democrats said some donors are anxious about the political ramifications of raising taxes before the midterms.”
John, the tax increases being discussed are aimed at corporations and the rich paying their fair share. Raising taxes on corporations and the rich is popular among the people, even if the Democratic donor class on Wall Street want to avoid a tax increase.
To keep electing more Justice Democrats, we need your support — because we don’t take a cent from corporate PACs. Our average donation is just $16.75 this year. We rely on the people to fund this movement, so we can transform politics in Washington and win progressive change.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
