Midterms are always rough for the president’s party
but ...

John,
Let’s talk about the midterm curse. The first midterm for a new president almost always leads to the minority party gaining seats in the House and Senate.
And since our Democratic House and Senate majorities are razor-thin (single digits in the House and only one seat in the Senate), we could easily lose both chambers in 2022.
Thankfully, it’s not November 2022 (it’s not even mid-2021 yet), so we have a chance to defy the trend and protect our House and Senate majorities. Here’s how:
STEP 1: Register Latinx voters. In 2020, Latinx voters played a massive role in electing Democrats in battleground states -- but they’re still a swing electorate. ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ Contribute to help us register more voters.

STEP 2: Mobilize Latinx voters. Political experts agree that meaningful outreach and engagement with Latinx communities will make the difference between a red and blue victory in 2022. ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ Contribute to help us mobilize more voters.

STEP 3: Hold the House and Senate. Our work in key states like Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia was instrumental in winning these states for Joe Biden and electing new Democratic senators. Our efforts helped lead to a 30% increase in Latinx voter turnout, and we have even bigger plans for 2022. ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ Contribute to Voto Latino’s work as we gear up for the midterms.
