Team,

Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebert, and Stephen Miller have all viciously attacked Ilhan to their millions of Twitter followers — because she unapologetically spoke out for human rights.

These radical right-wingers are angry at Ilhan for bringing to light Israeli forces’ repeated violence against the Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan, including at the Al-Aqsa mosque while Muslims were praying.

Just yesterday, in response to Hamas firing rockets into Israel, the Israeli military launched air strikes into Gaza, killing at least 20 people — nine of whom were children. Ilhan condemns all violence, which advances the political goals of the powerful at the expense of the suffering of all people.

But she has also made it abundantly clear that she will fight to make sure the United States holds the Israeli government accountable and save Palestinian lives — instead of continuing to provide more than $3 billion in military aid each year as the Israeli government perpetuates these human rights abuses and illegally seizes Palestinian land.

Radical Republicans like Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebert, and Stephen Miller are using their platforms to attack Ilhan because they thrive on spreading hatred and causing division and are threatened by a world where all people can live peacefully and with dignity. They are especially enraged by a Black Muslim woman speaking out against these atrocities.

But Ilhan will never let up in her work for a more peaceful world. It’s thanks to your support that she is able to give voice to the issue of human rights violations here and abroad and fight for a brighter future for everyone, no matter what they look like or pray like.

Thank you.

—Team Ilhan
