Tragedy strikes Colorado once again— as usual, our Republican representatives are silent. This past Sunday, Colorado lost six residents to a senseless act of gun violence. According to a police report, a man drove to a birthday party at a mobile home, walked inside, and shot six people before shooting himself. The Colorado Turnout Project's staff wants to extend our sincerest condolences and wishes for healing to all affected by this senseless act of violence. As we grieve the loss of our fellow Coloradans, we have to ask ourselves: are our Republican representatives doing the same? Despite the event occurring in his own district, Rep. Lamborn hasn't said a single word. The only thing Representative Lamborn has been able to offer those who lost friends and loved ones is crickets. Screenshot of Representative Lamborn's "crickets" While he hasn't had enough time to offer comfort and understanding to those who lost friends and family, Representative Lamborn has had enough time to tweet some nonsense about President Biden and President Carter. Coloradans in the Fifth Congressional district deserve better than this. Help us organize against Representative Lamborn so we can get someone in office who actually cares for the wellbeing of their constituent.
