The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association was founded to promote Proposition 13, which prevents homeowners from being taxed out of their homes. But we fight other unreasonable taxes as well. We have been in the forefront of opposing new taxes, including taxes on gasoline, already the highest in the nation, that hurt working Californians.
