This Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of our AAPI brothers and sisters.

We know that diversity is one of our nation’s greatest strengths. Ensuring that Americans of every background have a seat at the table starts with recognizing the many cultures that have helped shape our country into what it is today -- but we can’t stop there.

At a time when hate crimes against the AAPI community are on the rise across the country, we must all join together to ensure that every American is seen, heard, and protected.

I commend the work the Biden administration has done to roll out new initiatives to combat anti-Asian discrimination, and I promise that I will continue to use my platform as a US representative to fight against hatred.
