Choosing a new governor is one of the most consequential decisions we’ll make as a Commonwealth this year. This person will be tasked with leading Virginia into a new era — one where every resident, no matter who they are or where they live, is given the opportunity to thrive.

My friend and State Senator Jenn McClellan is that person, and I’m proud to endorse her to be Virginia’s next Governor.

In her 14 years serving in the Statehouse, Jenn has built a reputation as an effective legislator. She has been the driving force behind significant progressive legislation to invest in education, reform the justice system, protect a woman’s right to choose, fight climate change, and so much more.

What makes Jenn so special is that she places her constituents’ needs before anything else. She fully understands her role as an advocate for people who have never had one.

With so much work to be done in the Commonwealth, building on Democratic successes of the last two years, those are exactly the qualities we need in our next governor.
