NDP

Watch our video to see why this campaign is different, John! //

John,

Yesterday, Jagmeet was in Grassy Narrows. I’ve been showing him around the beautiful riding of Kenora – and talking about the impacts of Justin Trudeau’s broken promises.

For decades, the community of Grassy Narrows has been suffering from the impacts of mercury poisoning on our health and livelihood – but the Liberals refuse to release the money they promised to build a critical treatment centre.

And while millions of kids across Canada were excited to go back to school this fall, in multiple First Nations communities in the Kenora riding, children weren’t able to because their schools didn’t have running water, or are full of dangerous mould – something Justin Trudeau said he would fix but puts off time and time again.

The Liberals are making clear choices, John – that protecting ultra-rich corporations is more important than investing in the health and safety of Canadians.

They found $4.5 billion to buy a broken pipeline – but communities across Canada still don’t have access to clean drinking water.

Justice for Grassy Narrows

Communities like mine are more than empty words – and Jagmeet and our NDP Team are committed to making different choices that will help communities across Canada to thrive. This campaign is critical – and that’s why I’d like to share this video of Grassy Narrows and Jagmeet with you today.

Committing with words – but not action – it not enough. There’s still a long way to go. And we have a responsibility to get there, together.
