Hoosiers have a lot to be proud of when it comes to our state finances.
For the ninth year in a row, our state legislature passed, and Governor Holcomb signed, a balance budget. The budget includes:
A rainy-day fund to protect taxpayers and ensure that Indiana maintains a triple-A credit rating.
Setting conservative spending levels to provide opportunities for future tax cuts and reforms.
Funding priorities WITHOUT growing the government.
Making key investments in education, infrastructure, workforce, and job creation.
While other states have struggled and have had to make drastic cuts, Indiana weathered the storm, and we’ve even come out of it shining!
And it’s thanks to our level-headed, Republican leaders, who always put people over politics, and aren’t held hostage by partisan power plays.
It is critical that we maintain this level of care in our elected officials, and not get complacent. The radical left is currently fundraising hard to try and bring a blue wave to our great state, and we cannot let that happen.
