Last month my campaign took a big risk: We were radically transparent with all of you about our finances. We can’t thank this team enough for the way you stepped up.
So we’re going to continue to be radically transparent about our goals: Our campaign needs to raise almost $3 million -- $2,998,771 to be exact -- in October. This is what we are projecting it will take to cover our campaign expenses this month while continuing to grow our campaign to win.

Last month, we set out a goal to raise $1.7 million in just ten days because that’s how much we needed to continue building the organization necessary to have a legitimate long-term path forward. This was a real, unvarnished look under the hood of our operation at a level of transparency unprecedented in modern presidential campaigns.
When we set this goal I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this grassroots team came together and blew past it, raising over $2.1 million before the FEC deadline. It was the best fundraising stretch of our campaign.
This is my sincere promise to you: I will always be radically transparent about how we see the race and what our campaign needs to succeed. Radical transparency was not a fundraising gimmick, and it by no means stops now that we’ve entered the fourth quarter.
