Hi John,
Conservatives across the country are working to pass legislation that makes abortions almost totally inaccessible -- and 2021 is on track to see historically high numbers of abortion restrictions.
2011 used to be widely regarded as the most restrictive year for abortion rights since Roe v. Wade was decided. At this point a decade ago, 42 abortion restrictions had been enacted nationwide. This year, the number is 61 -- and still counting.
In fact, 28 abortion restrictions were signed at the state level in the final days of April alone -- including a near-total ban in Oklahoma.
This is a national crisis, John. As Republicans make strides to turn back the clock on reproductive rights, I wanted to check in and see how you feel about this divisive issue:
Are you opposed to abortion bans?
I truly value your input. It's so helpful to get a sense of where my supporters' minds are at when dealing with critical issues like these.
Best,
Mary Gay
