On this blessed night, let's rise to our responsibility

Dear Supporter,

Over the past 24 hours, we have seen the situation in Palestine escalate. During these holy days and nights, Israel has desecrated the Aqsa mosque, attacked the worshipers within, brutalized Palestinian protestors around the country, and began bombing residential areas in the Gaza Strip, with the death toll increasing as we speak. And as this all happens, Palestinians in Sheik Jarrah are still struggling against the attempted ethnic cleansing from their own homes, planned for the coming weeks.

Through all of this, the Palestinian people have not backed down. And here at AMP, we will not back down.

In the past few weeks alone, we have been working with our allies in Congress to pressure Israel to stop its aggression against the Palestinians. As a result of these efforts, we have seen dear colleague letters come out of Congress and letters to the State Department demanding a firm stand against Israel's criminal behavior.

Israel no longer enjoys unanimous support in Capitol Hill. We understand that we still have a long way to go. Still, the journey of change has begun, and nothing will stop it until we achieve justice for Palestine.

Today, we released a list of action items mobilizing our supporters from all over the country to take a stand for Palestine, including a petition that we will hand-deliver to the State Department tomorrow. We cannot allow Israeli oppression to go unchecked. We cannot let down and abandon our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine. They are looking up to us. They have high expectations from us. Let's make them proud of us as we are proud of them and of their resolute and steadfastness.

But we need your help. We cannot do it alone. Together we can inshaAllah.

On this blessed odd night that could be the night of power (Layalatul Qadr), help AMP continue doing this work and make Palestinian rights a priority. This may be the night when the message was revealed to Muhammad (PBUH). What would the Messenger do if he was among us today witnessing this brutal aggression against the Palestinian people? Would he stand idle, or would he have made every effort to defend them?

Don’t let this night pass without doing your part to support the work for Palestine in America.

My regards,

Mohamad Habehh
National Development Coordinator
