John,
When I’m out on the streets talking to New Yorkers about the upcoming election, the first question is always: “what does a comptroller even do?”
Turns out (shocker, I know) that most people have no idea!
So this week, we’re going to put an end to this mystery by highlighting how the Comptroller can help secure a just recovery for our city. Follow along our #PolicyWeek on social media:

We’ll be talking about my plans to:
*
Invest
in
new
city-owned
rooftop
solar
infrastructure
*
Hold
companies
accountable
to
create
jobs
with
fair
pay
and
dignity
*
Conduct
racial
and
gender
equity
audits
of
city
agencies
and
services
*
Create
tens
of
thousands
of
new
units
of
permanently
affordable
social
housing
The Comptroller has a powerful set of tools to hold the city accountable. I’m determined to put all these tools to work and ensure that our recovery leaves no community behind.
Brad
P.S. We’re just one week out from our next public reporting deadline, when we need to show the city that we have what it takes to win. Chip in $10 or whatever you are able to help us meet our goal. [[link removed]]
